Want to host an issue?
It’s not too soon to start thinking about hosting an issue of the Teaching Carnival for the 2009-2010 academic year, which will be our fourth (!) year of publishing.
Teaching Carnival: A semi-weekly edited collection of the best web-based writings on pedagogy.
What hosting involves:
- Read widely in academic blogs, looking for blog posts about teaching in higher education.
- Write a detailed entry on your blog, annotating and tying together the posts that you’ve found.
- Publish!
Peruse the previous issue of Teaching Carnival for examples.
Please leave a comment below if you want to give it a shot.

I read many academic blogs: I’m interested.

What the heck; I’ll give it a shot. Maybe it’ll give me a kick in the pants to post more on my own website.

It sounds interesting, but I’m a little unclear on the “academic” part. I’m a student and game designer, and have found some rather interesting things on improving pedagogy with lessons learned from game design. I’ve also got an event I’m planning on starting on open and engaging education and learning in the next few weeks, so I’m curious just how “academic” the blog needs to be.

Annie and Jeffrey, thanks!
Steven, take a look at previous issues of Teaching Carnival to get a sense of the expected content.

George, I’m in…. I’ll be moving in about three weeks, but after that, I’m game. When do you need me?
